             Feeding Program

Certified Food Handlers will prepare nutritious meals and healthy snacks during the Day Care Program. Many of the families in this area are undernourished and it is very difficult for many families to purchase good food in sufficient quantities. Drinking water will be available to all staff and participants at all times. PPCA will eat all meals family style, with children and staff seated together to eat and socialize. PPCA will plant organic gardens on its grounds for its programs. Intensive gardening along with sustainable practices, permaculture, companion planting, raised beds, hydroponics, solar food dehydrators, solar ovens and naturally safe pesticides will be used. Chickens will be raised for their eggs and meat as well as their persistent insect and bug riddance techniques.
